Frequently asked questions
Can you install a ceiling fan where there's no fixture? +
Yes, but it requires a new circuit if there's no existing power nearby. We run wire through the attic (for upper floors) or drop it through walls, mount a fan-rated box, and install the fan. Most installs take 2–4 hours.
Should ceiling fans run year-round in Georgia? +
Yes. In summer, run clockwise (downward airflow) to cool. In winter, run counterclockwise (upward airflow) to help heat circulation. We show you how during install; minimal maintenance needed.
How much electricity does a ceiling fan actually use? +
A typical ceiling fan uses 15–90 watts depending on speed and blade size. That's 1–2% of your AC bill in summer. Smart fans with DC motors use even less. We can install dual-control smart fans to automate scheduling.
