Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between low-voltage and 120V landscape lights? +

Low-voltage (12V) path lights use a small transformer and are safe, energy-efficient, and easy to install. They're DIY-friendly but look basic. Our 120V accent and uplighting offers brighter, more dramatic effects — great for highlighting architecture, trees, or water features.

Do outdoor landscape lights have to be hardwired? +

No. Low-voltage lights use a transformer and are plug-in — you can move them around. Hardwired 120V uplights are permanent and look more polished. We mix both depending on your yard: low-voltage for walkways, 120V for accent and focal points.

Will landscape lights survive Georgia's hot, humid summers? +

Yes. We use outdoor-rated transformers, UV-stable wire, and sealed fixtures rated for wet locations. Transformer is mounted under eaves or in a weatherproof box. Lights are tested in Atlanta's heat and humidity — annual bulb swap is the only maintenance.
